This photo was taken during one of the many New Kadampa Tradition's demonstrations organized worldwide to protest against HH the Dalai Lama's statements on Dorje Shugden reliance. According to the former representative of NKT in Germany, Gen Kelsang Dechen, the slogans on the banner were created by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso himself. The slogans are in German and the content is "You know that Dorje Shugden harms no being, please Dalai Lama stop spreading lies!" "Dorje Shugden loves all Buddhist traditions, please don't lie!"
