Demiivska (Ukrainian: Демiïвська; Russian: Демеевская, Demeevskaya) is the first station on Kiev Metro's Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska Line's Holosiiv-Teremky extension that is due to open in late 2008. It is situated on the "40-richcha Zhovtnya (40th anniversary of October)" avenue. It will serve the residential areas around, a major marketplace "Demiivskyi Rynok" and a coach station "Avtovokzal".
Designed by architect Valeriy Gnevishev, the station will feature a typical pillar trispan with a new "flower" design on the pillars dominated bythe red and beige palette. The station is built by cut-and-cover and will have a three levels, an underground waiting area and two escalators leading to two mezzanine levels before reaching the platform. Entrances will be on both sides of the avenue.
