"The game was the first any Delaware college team had played in the NCAA Tournament." - That's incorrect. The University of Delaware has played multiple games in the Men's side of the NCAA tournament, such as their first-round loss to Tennessee in 1999. (The women's team has participated in the NCAA Women's Tournament frequently as well.)
