[edit] Needs attention

Came across this whilst disambiguating mentions of Welsh. I can't work out what's best to do here:

  • Merge into Deira
  • Mark as needing context

In either case, it needs lots of references citing.

I think this needs to be redirected to Deira and that article expanded to explain the earlier British spelling.

I also have problems with both articles referring to Ebrauc as the original capital. This was certainly true after Deira expanded to incorporate the Kingdom of Ebrauc under Edwin, but earlier it is more likely that the capital was Pocklington (Pockelinton) or even the religious centre at Goodmanham.
