Definition Of Sound is a London, England-based dance music duo consisting of Kevin Clark and Don Weekes working with musicians Rex Brough (aka The Red King) and latterly, Mike Spencer. Their second and fourth singles, "Wear your love like heaven" and "Moira Jane's Café" were in the UK Top 40. They also had several songs enter the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, including "Moira Jane's Café," which hit #1 in 1992.

Although they had no Hot 100 entries, the song "Now Is Tomorrow" (a #10 dance hit) climbed to #68 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart in 1991. Vocal duties on this single and some album tracks were handled by singer Elaine Vassel.

The band went on to have numerous single and album releases culminating in French top five with "Pass The Vibes". Along the way the band picked up many awards and help to influence a generation of experimental hip hop bands. After recording their fourth and final album for MCA/Universal which although critically acclaimed never saw a full release the band called it a day. Initially the final members Kevin Clark (founder) Donald Weekes and Mike Spencer continued as a writing remix and production team. Kevin Clark went on to a successful career as an Artist and Reportoire manager firstly for the Parlaphone record company and eventually Universal. He has worked with amongst others Beverley knight (being solely responsible for the AnR on the career defining hit Shoulda Woulda Coulda and and her subsequent platinum album Who I Am) Jamelia, Tracie Spencer, Freestylers, Betty Boo, Beats int, etc. His later career saw a successful move into music publishing with Clarkmusic a jointventure with Peermusic the worlds largest independent with Adam Argyle and Ben Thomas resulting in copyrights on numerous hit albums including Newton Faulkner's Hand Built By Robots, and future successes Peter Conway and Headfone,most recently he was instrumental in signing Jodie Aysha to a publishing contract with Sony/ATV UK, resulting in her first British pop hit "Heartbroken".Mike Spencer went onto have a massivelysuccessful career producing numerous successful groups including Jamiroquai, Oy Va Voy, UnkleJam and Newton Faulkner he continues a thriving career in London. Donald Weekes after release of a solo album released on his own label he left the music business to concentrate on his passion soccer.
