[edit] Movie tie-in
I'm not sure the movie tie-in is correct. It is strange to say that the song title is 'borrowed' from a movie that would not be released until nine months after the song. (According to IMDB the movie was released in September of 1942 -- the song in December of 1941.) Perhaps, the tie-in is with the Gene Autry movie, "Heart of the Rio Grande". The Jimmy Wakely Trio appears in both and IMDB lists the song as appearing in THIS movie and not in the Johnny Mack Brown film. According to IMDB, "Deep In the Heart of Texas" was the working title of the Autry film, too. Cdixon 18:25, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, the text reads borrowed for a movie. This changes the meaning completely. — Scm83x talk

- Um, yes. I think I missed that the first time around. Cdixon 19:17, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
