[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:הפארק_+_צפון_העיר.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:הפארק_+_צפון_העיר.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Image:Pict00584bp.jpg
You have uploaded Image:Pict00584bp.jpg under a permission that only applies to Wikipedia. For it to remain on Wikipedia, it must be relicensed under a free license. Wikipedia:Image copyright tags explains how to change the image tag, and provides a list of free licenses. If your friend is willing to allow it, update the tag to a free license, such as the {{GFDL}}. Otherwise, we will probably have to delete the image soon. [edit] Tel Aviv
Could you please stop removing Yafo from the Tel Aviv’s name? In addition, why are you changing the population number? There’s a CBS file reference that supports the current number, please review it. This kind of behavior can be considered vandalism. If you think your edits are called for – please discuss them on the Tel Aviv talk page and we’ll all decide. Action against vandalism will be taken if you continue these unsubstantiated edits. - Db1944 03:54, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism warning
It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Tel Aviv. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Db1944 18:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:KP2006.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:KP2006.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:231143-5.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:231143-5.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:37, 29 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Ambiguous link
Thank you for your recent edit to Blackfield. Your edit included one or more links to the page Rock, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links you added to Blackfield to refer directly to the most relevant topic. Where did you get this image? I think it was taken by a pilot who goes by the name of Hebrewtext on the internet. Are you him? If not, did he grant you permission to use the image? [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ivri lider live.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ivri lider live.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:BrokenWINGS.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. [edit] Temperatures and percipitaion in Tel Aviv
Hi Deanb! What made you decide that World Weather.org was more reliable than the CBS, which is more recent and bases its information (in this case) on the Israeli Meteorological Service? -- Ynhockey (Talk) 12:01, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Tel Aviv's precipitation averages at 530 mm annually, according to experts on weather forums! that is it. please don't change it
- Seeing as how the figures from the two sources are based on different years, they may both be correct. However, the CBS figure is more recent. I'm not reverting your edit yet, but honestly no one cares what 'experts on weather forums' think, unless there is a reliable publication which has this data. Please review Wikipedia policies on this issue. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 13:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Tel Aviv
Hi Deanb! Please stop changing the population figure of Tel Aviv to 390,400. While both the 2006 and 2007 figures are estimates, there's a reason why CBS calls new figures 'provisional data'. The reason is that it's practically impossible to guess to population change before proper statistics are collected (like migration, deaths, births, etc.), so they make a guess based on last year's growth rate - which is much less accurate than the estimate from the year before, which includes all the said statistics, and is a highly educated guess. Of course, we can't tell 100% for sure until the next census (this or next year), but it's safe to stick with last year's figures. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 20:04, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
yeah but it's only reasonbale that the population would stand at around 390,000 this year... and it's much more up-to-date. please don't change it. thank you
- Some people say that it's more reasonable to put 500,000, because there are a lot of foreign workers and such. But really, who cares about what 'some people' may think? Wikipedia is all about writing what others have already published. This is called Wikipedia:No original research. You have had some problems in the past with understanding this policy, so please read it again - it's extremely important if you don't want your stuff to be deleted from Wikipedia in the future. Also, please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Consensus and Wikipedia:Dispute resolution - when you see several users reverting your edits, you are likely doing something wrong, and should use the talk page to work it out, instead of re-adding your information all the time. It just annoys people and strengthens your reputation as a vandal.
- I am frankly quite surprised to see such behavior coming from you, a user I know also from Tapuz and the Hebrew Wikipedia. You must understand that the English Wikipedia is quite different from the Hebrew, mostly because it's much more high-quality and accurate. Things which might be acceptable there might not be acceptable here, therefore I urge you to carefully read the policies and guidelines before making more similar edits.
- Thanks, Ynhockey (Talk) 20:20, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
may I ask who you are? what board you know me from?
- To clarify, I didn't mean that we actually know eachother well, just that I have frequently read posts by you made in the Tel Aviv forum on Tapuz (whenever I visit it, which is not that often though). I am Ynhockey there also, and post in the public transportation forum, and sometimes in the infrastructure forum.
- I could have sworn I have seen you on another website as well, not sure where. Do you post as SkyScraper City or SkyScraper Life? -- Ynhockey (Talk) 21:29, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
yep!
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Ivri_Lider.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ivri_Lider.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
