[edit] The Humungous Image Tagging Project

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

[edit] cannon

[edit] Madejski Stadium

Do you have a source for the changed capacity? The details on the offical Reading FC web site still states 24,200[1]. Regards, MartinRe 21:15, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

The figure is given in a renewal letter sent to all season ticket holders. Hopefully that doesn't fall foul of the "no original research" rule. --Deadlock 21:22, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Alas, I believe it does, or more accurately, the verifibility policy. It's almost identical to the case outlined in WP:V#Verifiability.2C_not_truth, you have received the information from the primary source, so you become the secondary source. (you are reporting that the primary source said X). I'm sure you're a reliable person, but are you a reliable source as per WP:RS? :)
Best thing to do might be to give Reading a ring and ask them to update the offical figures on the web site, and that removes the problem completely. All the best, MartinRe 21:33, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Bother. I've known the figure was wrong for a long time; I think the original capacity was 24,200, but they've made at least five minor changes since then. I've emailed the webmaster, hopefully they'll update it. --Deadlock 21:52, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
...and they have, to 24,225! I've had an email from the webmaster saying that he believes this to be the capacity. I've checked up in the 2006/2007 Supporter's Guide (glossy booklet issued by the club and covered with logos), which gives it as 24,054. So that's two official publications with different figures. I suspect the guide is the correct one, since it comes from the ticket office, but the website is more easily verifiable. What I'll do is update all the pages where the capacity is listed to the website figure, and stick a note on the talk page of Madejski Stadium. --Deadlock 21:24, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Way to heavy?

A car is like 2 tones, this is a space ship it should probably weigh more then 2 tons. If anything its under-weight ;-) Matthew Fenton (contribs) 17:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh. 2.95 MILLION tones, i thought it meant normal 2 tones, heh. Matthew Fenton (contribs) 15:33, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
