I would really be interested to know what Dean Stockwell's roots are since he looks a bit like Tommy Lee Jones. I suspect, from that deduction, that he is a similar mix of celtic (i.e. Welsh, Scottish or Irish) plus some sort of asian race (e.g. Cherokee, Native American, South Asian, etc). I wish someone could enlighten me on this point. (Being of mixed race myself, I find people's ethnic origins so interesting.)

[edit] Role in Dallas

I would bet my life that he played the devil in the final episode of Dallas, but it isn't mentioned on imdb. But it IS true!

Reply: That is so interesting. And, yes, I believe you. He looks like my father-in-law's long-lost twin brother. I've always told my husband that his father is a silver-tongued devil.......

[edit] Stargate

This talk page has the WikiProject Stargate tag, but there is no mention of Stockwell appearing on Stargate in the article itself. UncreativeNameMaker 23:41, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ridiculous Photo

Are we using this 50-year-old photo of Stockwell only because we couldn't find an in-utero image of him as an embryo? Despite his absolutely unforgettable performance in Gentleman's Agreement, which is arguably the most well-known movie of the 20th century, perhaps it would be appropriate to display a likeness that is a bit more up-to-date? -Grammaticus Repairo 20:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Just watched, on Hulu, a 1962 episode of the "Alfred Hitchcock HOUR" (the less-often-rebroadcast show that followed the original half-hour "Alfred Hitchcock PRESENTS") starring Dean Stockwell in a Psycho-like role, written by Robert Bloch:

Annabel Alfred Hitchcock Hour Season 1  : Episode 7 |50:12 | A chemist refuses to accept his ex-girlfriend's marriage to another man.

This TV credit is not presently listed in the Stockwell Wikipedia article. Am leaving it to more experienced hands to actually make the update.
