[edit] PLC in 1958?? Surely not!

I have to question the statement that the company name became De La Rue Company Limited PLC in 1958 - the "PLC" (Public Limited Company) designation only came into use around 1980 if I remember rightly - that was about the time that "Royal Bank of Scotland Limited" banknotes became "Royal Bank of Scotland plc" notes, anyway! -- Arwel 23:40, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Image:Uk10pound.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. I have reorganised and expanded the article to improve its wikiness. Main changes:

  • Separated company history from lead-in
  • Organized company products into current and past
  • Added section on fountain pens to past products
  • Added link to image of Cape of Good Hope triangular stamp
  • Added external link to De La Rue playing card history
  • Added external link to site with more detail of company history
