My name is David Boersma. I work for IceCube as a postdoc at UW Madison. I created my user account here with the intention to contribute to the content of the wikipedia pages about Neutrino astronomy and related subjects, in which I hope/assume that my expertise can be useful. However, I do not have a lot of spare time, so do not hold your breath. I will also try to do low level text gardening in other pages, like undoing acts of vandalism and fixing easy typos.

My native language is Dutch, but I think that my command of English is quite reasonable, thanks to my work in science, living in the US (Madison, Wisconsin) and being interested in languages in general. Still I am quite aware that my English is not at all perfect, so I would highly appreciate if native speakers would check my edits on language mistakes.

Other interests of mine (besides physics) are programming, chess, running, traveling, literature, history of science, tango, biking, hiking, classical music (everything from Gregorian chant to John Cage), philosophy.
