Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —— Eagle 101 (Need help?) 23:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Good day

I noticed that you edited an article on Darren Barefoot. Had I not been mistaken, I assume you are that person, I wish to point out that Wikipedia has a policy on autobiography that it is discouraged for one to edit an article about him/herself (due to conlfict of interest), although the person is always welcome to discuss about it.

Also, I removed the "proposed deletion" tag since based on your work and information the article should go to a detailed discussion on Wikipedia: Articles for deletion. SYSS Mouse 17:01, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that. As I specified in the entry's discussion page, I mainly tried to correct inaccuracies and add sources, which seems in line with Wikipedia's guidelines on autobiography. I also added a line about the Second Life parody, because I believe that's what motivated this entry's creator in the first place. Dbarefoot 18:44, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding edits made to NorthernVoice

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Dbarefoot! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule flickr\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 00:16, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clarifying my position on Tim Ball/Canada Free Press

I don't care for Canada Free Press any more than you do. I was doing a little digging hoping to demonstrate that his credentials are similar to other ones I recently uncovered. However, after turning up his thesis, honesty compelled me to report what appears to be accurate information. Ben Hocking (talk|contribs) 16:25, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spam in Genetrack Biolabs

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Genetrack Biolabs, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Genetrack Biolabs is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Genetrack Biolabs, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 00:01, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Genetrack Biolabs

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Genetrack Biolabs, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Speedy deletion of Amiel Gladstone

A tag has been placed on Amiel Gladstone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, please site the sources in the way described at WP:FOOT. :) Thanks, PeaceNT (talk) 17:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:HouseatShiwaNgandu.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:HouseatShiwaNgandu.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:51, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
