[edit] Fair use rationale
The following audio clip is claimed to be fair use historical because of the following: Reasons given are according to Wikipedia description to fair use claims
- It's an audio clip with historical merit, due to the fact that this is a long-running television series with over 40 years on television, a rare feat for TV, and its inclusion on the article adds significant information to the general public.
- The audio clip is only used for informational purposes and does not intend to infringe on copyright in any way.
- This version is significantly old enough to make the point that no free version can exist, since Macdonald Carey, the actor who narrated the clip, died in 1994. This clip used is from 1973 and is not used on the program anymore.
- This clip was crisper before converting into ogg vorbis, so the one used on Wikipedia will be of slightly degraded quality.
