Day Mirdad District

Day Mirdad (also known as Jilga) is a district in the south of Wardak Province, Afghanistan. Its population, consisting of about 63% Pashtuns and 37% Hazara, was estimated at 41,370 in 2002. The district centre is Miran.
Day Mirdad is one of the Wadag district; The original name is Jilga, capital is Miran city, to the north it isarkaz-e- Behsood and Jalriz, to the south it is bordering with Chak, to the east it is bordering with Narkh, to the west it is bordering with Nawar of Gazni it has the following important villages: Tanga saidan, Toika, Qala, Sado kheel, Nazak kheel, Gulai, Resheed, Tara, Kalakh, Durani, Chatoo, Babak, Dalan, Nodal, Changa, Dalwatsha, Lashkarai, Ahmad kheel, Miran, Qotab, Wormar, Pira, Ibrahizi, Hakim kheel, Bakhshak, Bador, lijan kheel, Saltan kheel, Hajika, Dashtaka, Lalandar, Moka, Konj, Dada kheel, Mohammad yar kheel, Qolzangai, Spin dewal, Para qala, Shah qadam, and so on.
It has historical ports and towers, for example the Arg which is located between Moka and Dada kheel, Para Qala, kafer qala which is locatec in Budak, another Kafer Qala which is located in chatoo.
