Day Creek Intermediate School (DCIS) is a public school in Rancho Cucamonga and is part of the Etiwanda School District (grades K-8). Day Creek Intermediate School was opened in the fall of 2004. The school opened with three grade levels (6th, 7th, 8th). Currently, there is a projected enrollment of 921 students attending Day Creek Intermediate School. Day Creek Intermediate School has an excellent band program that has a great reputation and also has sports program with a variety of sports. Day Creek Intermediate School also includes a Leadership class where students learn the fundamentals of teamwork and helping others.
In the school year of 2006-2007, DCIS was awarded with the California Distinguished School Award. The group of students who graduated in 2007 were the first to attend all three years of Day Creek Intermediate School.
