[edit] Speedy deletion of Asia United Bank

A tag has been placed on Asia United Bank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Victor Lopes (talk) 20:30, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I saw your note to MZMcBride. The article was speedy-deleted according to criteria G8 as stated above. If you want that decision reviewed, ask for a deletion review. When article pages are deleted, their respective talk pages are typically deleted at the same time. Occasionally they are accidentally left behind. Usually, some administrator comes by and cleans them up according to WP:SPEEDY criteria G8: Talk pages without corresponding user pages. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:52, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: AUB talk deletion

Talk:Asia United Bank was deleted as an orphaned talk page. If you are drafting an article on Asia United Bank, it may be better to use your userspace, for example User:Daxdigital/Asia United Bank, to avoid people accidentally deleting your draft. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 00:18, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unfortunately

Unfortunately, the "hangon" tag came too late, you have deleted the article by that time. How can simple sharing of information turn into "blatant advertising?" I never ever intended to do advertising, I just simply placed information that some readers may find useful.

[edit] Asia United Bank

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Asia United Bank, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://siva-sg.jobstreet.com/_profile/previewProfile.asp?advertiser_id=2238. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 05:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
