Welcome!

Hello, Davidsheiman, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

You have three times recreated a deleted article, ANTs Data Server and ANTs Software. You might want to read the AfD entry for that page before recreating again. In short, it was removed because the software was considered non-noteable, because the articles themselves (and the edits to Comparison of relational database management systems) read like advertising and because of mischief on the part of the article authors.

You should be aware that when a new editor shows up and immediately recreates an article with this sort of history, it will appear as though you are a sockpuppet for one of the original authors, whether or not this is actually true. We simply have no way to be sure. Regardless, recreation of an article previously deleted via the AfD process is grouds for speedy deletion, so this article won't stay around long if people simply recreate it as it was, regardless of who the editor is.

If the only reason you came to Wikipedia is to promote "ANTs Data Server," then I'm not sure I can provide any help other than explaining the above. But I hope you are interested in the Wikipedia project as a whole, and will contribute to other articles, then I have a couple of suggestions to hopefully make your stay beneficial for you and for the Wikipedia project:

  • Read the Wikipedia policy on notability. This should help clarify what is considered to be a worthwhile subject for an article.
  • Contribute to existing articles for a while. This helps establish your credibility as an editor; it will make other editor take your comments seriously.
  • After you have done the above, you can consider submitting the ANTs articles to Wikipedia:Deletion review if you feel they are notable. But be prepared to make a case for why you feel the subjects meet the notability guidelines; please don't just recreate them as-was.

Thanks again, and enjoy Wikipedia! --Craig Stuntz 20:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

You have recently created the article ADS Server. This was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate the article: if you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review.--Craig Stuntz 13:23, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
