Too many vandals, too many overblown controversies, too much ill-considered accretion. But mostly too many vandals. After 2,583 edits, I'm taking my life back.

That turned out to be an extended wikibreak. But I still think most articles are either inadequate or coherent. The structure and popularity of the wikipedia encourages individuals to perform drive-by editing: throw in a factoid or a whole paragraph on their favorite controversy, with no concern for the structure and balance of the article as a whole. The information isn't wrong enough to revert, but there do seem to be too few editors who are primarily, well, editors. But I'll still try to do my part.

I am proudest of The Dream of Gerontius and Belshazzar's Feast (Walton), and the reorganization of the articles about pilot certification. I've been an active member of the encyclopedia parity project, currently working through the 1911 EB verification.
