[edit] Cherokee?

Are there any WP:RS, third-party sources for him being Cherokee? I'll hold off on removing it to see if anyone can source it. It seems to me that all the sources saying he's Cherokee go back to his personal claims. Please comment here if any recognized Cherokee band has acknowledged him as Cherokee. I've found no documentation of his being Cherokee. If you can source it to WP:V and WP:RS standards, re-add the project banner. But if it's only based on his statements about himself, I don't think that's sufficient. - Kathryn NicDhàna ♫♦♫ 03:43, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Serious sourcing issues

I'm going through this now, and there's very little sourcing to this that doesn't rely on Winston's statements about himself, usually on his own websites. This needs third-party sourcing. Also, most of the "sources" that weren't the subject's own websites didn't mention him. If he is mentioned on a sub-page of that site, in a substantial way that sources the article content, please add a direct link to that particular page. Organizations he has been involved in are in the External links section, but can't be used as sources unless they source content. Other "sources" were simply event listings on the subject's website, that you must join to see. - Kathryn NicDhàna ♫♦♫ 03:43, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
