[David Riske] David Riske will bring an even stronger presence to the mighty Red Sox bullpen. Along with closers Mike Timlin and possibly John Papelbon the deseptive closer/reviever will continue to plow over opponent batters. Let me take a moment to remind all of you that David Riske has struck out more opponents than innings that he has pitched in his major league career. It was a great deal that Red Sox and the Indians reached, I smell pennent written all over this. Jhix11 16:57, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

I agree that Riske should help the Red Sox bullpen; as an Indians fan, I was sorry to see him go. But be wary of the strikeout statistics. As the main article about Riske states, his strikeouts-per-inning dropped dramatically in 2005. With 48 strikeouts in 72 2/3 innings, Riske wasn't exactly Francisco Rodriguez. [edit] This "ARTICLE" is a total Mess

Random factoids, no structure, poor English and no cited sources. Encyclopedic? No. Delete it, it's 100% pure Wikiality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.48.223 (talk) 11:00, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

--I don't think you've seen articles that were "total" messes. Even if an article is a mess that's not criteria for deletion, but instead for cleanup or possibly a total rewrite. I'd only be for deletion of this article if it had no importance, which it does, because it's about a major league baseball player who has played for many teams. Just because you;ve never heard of the guy doesn't mean he's not important to Major League Baseball history.Inspector 34 (talk) 11:08, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
