Talk:David Osborne

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why does the David Osborne page redirect to Robert Silverburg? Yes, Robert Silverburg is a good author. Yes, the David Osborne page that the redirect replaced was a vanity page for a lawyer.

But all this sounds like a great reason to just kill the page, not a good reason to redirect the page to Robert Silverburg.

I'll give whoever a couple of days to explain why the redirect exists, otherwise I'll put the vanity page back. (In reality, this page probably should just be killed.)

BTW, the reason I went to this page was to see what Wikipedia said about David Osborne, the author of The Price of Government: Getting the Results We Need in an Age of Permanent Fiscal Crisis and other influencial books on the operations of government. It appears that Wikipedia has nothing to say about him. His coauthor has a page [Peter Hutchinson] which linked here.

David Osborne is a pen name of Robert Silverburg. Check the history and you will see that this was the original function of this page before the vanity page temporarily took over.
If you would like to create an article on the David Osborne you were looking for, it can certainly be done, and a disambiguation page can be used to differentiate them. --Ginkgo100talk 03:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
