The reference to cycling news lists Millar's punishment as including "Two year suspension from competition from August 5, 2004 to August 4, 2006". How was he able to compete in the TDF2006, as usual a July race? barliner 15:38, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your input - and good spot! IIRC, he appealed to someone, who decided the ban should be backdated to when he confessed, which was shortly before the 2004 TdF. Image:David millar and plasma.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
