Possibly. Therefore, being someone other than the author, I have moved it to a less rapid process, which will give 5 days to add 3rd party references, an indication of current academic status at columbia (Full professor, perhaps?), and a list of degrees with universities and dates. If there are any awards, put them in too. Add the official website as an external reference. then it'll be a good WP article.DGG 23:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
He is listed on this Columbia University page as:
- Director, Global Roundtable on Climate Change
- The Earth Institute at Columbia University
- Associate Director, M.A. Program in Climate and Society
- School of International and Public Affairs
That page also has a brief CV, including a list of his degrees. Moreover, a GOogle Scholar search turns up a reasonably extensive listing of publications.
The article is crappy, but that is not a reason for deletion. He may be insufficiently notable, but if so, I think the full AFD procedure should be used. Accordingly, I have removed the PROD notice.
