The CSI:Miami segment contains comments that are subjective. I would consider directly quoting (and linking to) critics from other sources rather than including them in such a way as to appear to be original wiki content. The statements are: "In this role Caruso has consistently earned the distinction of being perhaps one of the worst actors on prime time television. His dramatic posturing, glib comments and lack of character depth have gathered a following of fans who find this drama "one of the best comedies on T.V. There's no reason to mention South Park. Unless Caruso voiced a character on the cartoon, the cartoon is entirely irrelevant to *this* article. It's ok to mention Caruso in the article about the cartoon episode, but not ok to mention the cartoon in this article. There are literally hundreds or thousands of references to Caruso on TV, and it would absurd to mention every trivial little one of them. Fans of the cartoon, should stick to the cartoon article, and not insert nonsense into every article South Park happens to allude to. Are we also going to update George W. Bush with the nonsense from this cartoon? After all, I'm sure they've made references to him as well. But, guesse what, nobody cares. There are references less or better remembered; six years later I still remember this scene I saw maybe one time. This is not really about the cartoon anyway. And I remember some hilarious jokes of George W. Bush, but shant be putting them in that article. All famous people have huge numbers of people, making assorted jokes about them. Its really no big deal. This is all worthy of inclussion in the cartoon article, which is read by cartoon watchers. It just doesn't belong here. --Rob 05:24, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
These analogies are interesting but erroneous. In politics, appreciation of someone's decisions and of their effect can vary according to the political views of the observer. Here, nobody questions that Caruso acted foolishly. And nobody tries to pour a full ton of jokes either; we talk about a single sentence. Stop trying to whitewash Caruso's past. Per WP:NPOV, facts are not points of view; the "factuality" of the sentence is unquestioned. I removed the South Park trivia. I've not seen the episode mentioned, but knowing what I do about South Park, I don't think any satire on the show is as specific as the section suggests.

Actually, rude original poster; TV Guide, I believe, made the 'humble and understated' comment, after an interview.

Did you know the man turns down all work outside of Miami, because he wants to focuss on his career? He's been given this second chance, and he's running with it, and his success has been proven, along with CSI Miami's success rate. People like to poke fun at him, and talk down about his acting and his life, but could you do it? On a set, you can be up until three and four in the morning to get a scene cut, and then be expected to show up first thing the next morning. You don't always get much sleep, and it's constant memorization. They don't just sit there and improv. They have a show to put out there, and they only have so much time in which to do it in, in order for the episdodes to play consitently to please the public. A two hour movie can take a year or more to film. Television, you have up to ten days to get a 47 and a half minute show done. Just like a movie, you have to have a beginning, middle, and end. Sure, you can have recurring themes (CSI- the Miniature Killer) but you still have to have a close to each episode unless you wish to make it last twice it's normal time slot by cutting it in the climax (CSI- 'Living Doll', 'Dead Doll') only to pick it up in the very next episode. You have to remember every little character tick and details. Could you do it? Think twice before you answer. I'd bet you couldn't. Disagree? Prove me wrong. Go get a lead roll in one of today's hottest tv dramas, and stop complaining because no one really honestly cares what you think. love from lilly black dot com
