David Teague (born May 5, 1981) is an Australian rules football player and coach in the Victorian Football League, formerly playing in the Australian Football League.

He debuted for the Kangaroos in 2001 after being elevated from the rookie list under Denis Pagan, and then moved to Carlton under their recycled player policy in 2004, reunited with Pagan. Teague won the John Nicholls Medal in 2004, and was noted for his courage in defence, earning him the AFLPA's Robert Rose Award for Most Courageous Player.

He played almost every game in 2005, but played only seven games for Carlton in 2006, playing as one of the best in their VFL affiliate, the Northern Bullants. He was seen as fitting neither into Carlton's defensive line-up, nor their youth policy. This trend continued in 2007, with Teague playing no games for Carlton. During his season at the Bullants, he played was further up the ground, often in the midfield, and was a dominant player in wet conditions.

Teague was delisted from the Carlton playing list on Thursday, 6th September 2007, his delisting came as a shock because of how good a player he was. On October 12, it was announced that he would continue with the Northern Bullants, acting as playing-coach.
