David J. Schow (born 1955 in Marburg, Germany) is an American fiction writer. He has published a number of short story collections, novels, as well as written screenplays for films such as The Crow. Most of Schow's work is in the horror sub-genre of splatterpunk, a term he is sometimes credited with inventing[1]. In the 1990's, Schow wrote a regular column for Fangoria magazine.
In 1987, Schow's story, "Pamela's Get", won a Bram Stoker Award for best long fiction.
