David Myers is an award-winning chef and restaurateur based out of Los Angeles, California.
Myers was born in Ohio, and originally went to college to study international business. Once he realized he was spending all of his time creating new recipes in the kitchen instead of studying, he left college to pursue a career in the restaurant industry.
Myers studied under famed chefs Charlie Trotter, Gerard Boyer (of the three-Michelin-starred Les Crayeres), Daniel Boulud and Joachim Splichal. He formed FoodArt Group in 2002 with the opening of his restaurant Sona. Myers is devoted to sourcing his ingredients locally and cooking in accordance with nature’s evolving calendar which results in seasonally spontaneous, modern cuisine.
