David Lewis (October 19, 1916 – December 11, 2000) was an American actor, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is best known for playing Edward Quartermaine on the longrunning American soap opera General Hospital, a role which he played from 1978 to 1993.
He was a pioneering actor in the medium of television, his first televised role occurring in 1949 on the show Captain Video and His Video Rangers.
He died in Woodland Hills, California, after a long illness.
