David Kowalczyk is an American poet, editor, and fiction writer. He was born November 22, 1952 in Batavia, New York. His poems and stories have appeared in many anthologies, including Bless Me Father: Stories of Catholic Childhood (Plume, New York, 1994) and in over fifty literary journals, including California Quarterly, St. Ann's Review, Maryland Review, and Bayou. He was founding editor of Gentle Strength Quarterly. His recent collections pending publication include A Small Jar of Tears, Stainless Soul, and Little Sky of My Heart. He currently resides in Tempe, Arizona.
