David Edgar (born March 27, 1950) is an American swimmer and olympic champion. He competed at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where he received a gold medal in 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.[1] He received a gold medal in 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 1971 Pan American Games in Cali.

Edgar was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1996.[2][3]
