Davey River

Is a river in the South West Tasmania. It is within the South West Wilderness, and drains into Payne Bay - the inner part of Port Davey - which lies west of Bathurst Harbour

Its catchment starts in the west of the Frankland Range.

A section of the lower Davey River gorge is known as Hells Gates - providing confusion with the entry to Macquarie Harbour which has an entrance by the same name - Hells Gates.
