Daughters are Grindcore, not Metalcore. yes?

To answer this question, I'd say that's a tough one because how often does music safely fit into genres or subgenres? Okay, well, maybe music quite often safely fit into genres and subgenres, but I'd say Daughters isn't one of those bands. In my estimation, closer to metalcore or even post-punk, considering that the singer doesn't really scream anymore--not grindcore. When I think Grindcore, I think of bands like Pig Destroyer and Cattle Decapitation. Not so much Daughters.

BUT, more importantly, why was this page paired down so hard? It used to be a couple paragraphs long with some interesting information. Now, it's just essential facts. Maybe it's something "everyone can agree on" but in my opinion, it's "more boring."

[edit] Grindcore category

Adding the grindcore groups category. Source: Terrorizer #115 (December 2003), review of Canada Songs by Martin Ives - "Daughters take the humble infrastructure of grind, and add more discordant guitars and arrangements than are necessary, driving it beyond self-indulgence and creating a new niche all of their own within the cluttered Locusts-alikes of this world."
