Hi there, Wiglaf. Good day to you. I noticed that there is a tendency to solve Ptolemaic problems by supposing he is totally off the wall and trying to correct his Greek. That is unsound method so I thought I would restore the balance. As a matter of fact I have found the few dozen or so Ptolemaic names I have looked at to be pretty much on the mark of the reconstructed languages. Far from being a distorted source, he is probably better than Tacitus, although you could argue that point. Kendrick wrote back in 1930. It might be time to restore the balance, as I say. By the way it is I who made the changes. I forgot to sign in again.Dave 16:24, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
