Dauphine

Dauphine is the female form of the particular French feudal (comital or princely) title of Dauphin (also anglicized as Dolphin), applied to the wife of a Dauphin (usually in the sense of heir to the French royal throne). It is roughly analogous to the British title Princess of Wales.

- Renault Dauphine is a French car launched in 1956. The story goes that as the 4CV was the Queen of the road, the next one should be the Dauphine.
- Université Paris-Dauphine is a university near Porte Dauphine in Paris.
- Dauphiné with an accent is a region of southeast France.
- Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré is a cycle race sometimes nicknamed the "Dauphine".
