Daucus is a genus of herbaceous plants of the family Apiaceae of which the best-known species is the cultivated carrot.

The genus comprises about 20 species divided into three sections[1]. The species include:
- Daucus aureus Desf., golden carrot
- Daucus broteri Ten., Brotero's carrot
- Daucus bicolor
- Daucus carota L., Wild carrot
- Daucus durieui Lange, Durieu's carrot
- Daucus glochidiatus (Labill.) Fisch., C.A.Mey. & Avé-Lall.
- Daucus gadeceaui Rouy and Camus., Gadeceau's carrot
- Daucus guttatus
- Daucus littoralis
- Daucus muricatus (L.) L.
- Daucus pusillus Michx., American wild carrot
