Talk:Data loading
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I feel this article should NOT be deleted!
There is a proposal that the topic Data loading be deleted:
It is proposed that this article be deleted because of the following concern:
The notability of this subject is unclear
at best and non-existent at worst.
It is written more as a how-to article
or as class work, and includes no references at all.
From my personal experience ETL is becoming increasingly important in the business world as part of building data warehouses. There are a number of companies with products on the market that perform some or all of the functions described in the ETL wiki page and the three related pages:Extracting Data, Data Transformation and Data loading.
There are white papers from these companies, that provide similar information, oriented towards their specific products.
While this particular page may not yet measure up to the Wiki standard, it provides an important part of the subject, and in my opinion, should not be deleted.
