[edit] Training

I'm curious as to why there is no mention or reference to D. Wayne Lukas despite him having trained Dash For Cash when he won the World Championships twice. --Kellsboro Jack (talk) 19:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

(grins) Because I hadn't found a reference to it that was sourced. If you have a source, add it in. The more the merrier on these articles. I did just uncover another article on him, in my copy of Champion Horses by Bongianni (he's the ONLY Quarter Horse!), which I was planning on getting into the article when I got a chance. Nope, no mention of trainer with Bongianni. Feel free to rework the article, it's been on my list of to-dos for a while, and if I keep getting sucked into other projects, it is likely to stay there for a while. All help is appreciated!Ealdgyth | Talk 22:02, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Inducted in 2007 into the AQHA Hall of Fame, their website should list the horses trained but I can't pull up the detail behind his name. That aside his own website does cite that he trained Dash For Cash: 'Lukas Enters Hall of Fame' Mar 6, 2007. Lukas in an interview with TVG reporter - and former Bill Mott assistant trainer - Simon Bray from Nov 2007 remarked that he though Dash was perhaps the best horse he ever had. Whenever I saddled him I never thought he'd get beat. Likewise I'm working on a few different things on Wiki - you can take a stab at it or I'll circle back and add it when I can. Thanks --Kellsboro Jack (talk) 20:49, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
