The image is from http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2006/members/S27.htm, where he served as state senator. The U.S. Senate is borrowing the image until they can make their own, it would seem. Thanks for your message. I've looked at the article, and the removal of the link by User:LiveLife isn't vandalism. S/he removed it because it was already linked in the references section. This is supported by the guidance given at WP:EL#References_and_citation which constitutes part of the Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style.

Hello. I have witnessed some of your recent edits to the pages George H.W. Bush and Dick Cheney. First off, please make adequate use edit summaries to tell other editors what your revision(s) accomplished. Secondly, the "acting president" clause was determined by myself and another editor to not be particularly notable (or favorable) to be placed in the infobox on those two articles. I removed it in Dick Cheney, then added it back because it really didn't hurt, and another editor removed it on both pages. The more I thought about it, the most the other editor was correct in removing it. It was for a mere day, and although it does deserve mention in the correct section and succession box at the bottom, the lead is too prominent to display such a short and minor event. I haven't marked the page as "patrolled" as I am somewhat uncertain how notable this individual is specifically; however, I suspect the incident in which he died would have far less difficulty meeting the notability threshhold. This is just a suggestion on my part, but perhaps an article on the crash itself, including much of the information you have already compiled here (and with the General's name as a redirect) might be of greater value at this point. [edit] Electoral histories

Hello Darth Kalwejt, and thank you for your many contributions to Wikipedia. There are a few issues I would like to address, however, regarding some content you have added to many articles: electoral histories. I am largely opposed to them, because they do not offer much to the articles and draw each article out substantially, depending on how many elections he/she has been involved in. Furthermore, the proper citation usage is not enacted in any of them (see Wikipedia:Citation templates); it is very strenuous to go through every lone url link and convert it to the proper format. And they are all lists with absolutely no engaging prose.

While I am not opposed to the idea of presenting the percentage of votes for each of the candidates, it should be done in the text of the corresponding section in an article (thus eliminating the list), and does not need to include every single election the candidate was involved in; I was expecting to see "High School ASB" on the list! They should only include the major elections or a notable election, and every revision should include a citation in proper format.

Don't get me wrong - I am not chastising you. I value your many Wiki contributions and thank you for them. But I think these long lists of every election the candidate has participated in is utterly unnecessary. Thanks, Happyme22 (talk) 06:49, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Sir, have you not read my above post? You just inserted the full electoral history to the George H. W. Bush article in a collapsable format (better), but without full citations in proper cite format, and the result of your revison has extended the article size about 8 KB. That's a huge number. Thanks for responding. I'm sorry if I came across harshly; I surely did not intend to. Yes, I think seperate electoral history articles are the way to go, such as the one you provided. I can start moving some of them to seperate articles, and would you like to do the same? Then we have to choose what format to use because consistency is good. There's the one in Electoral history of Eliot Spitzer in table format with colors, and there's the one in George H. W. Bush#Electoral history. Bush page from all the information you had placed on the president's article (although I think that a table format like the one on Electoral history of Eliot Spitzer might be better). User:SnowFire said on my talk page that creating sub articles for presidents would be a good idea, but that we should hold off on Congressmen. Feel free to join in. I was at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, USA in July 2007 and I saw the President of Poland, Lech Kaczyński, present the Order of the White Eagle to first lady Nancy Reagan. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. In this article there seems to be a contradiction about Florida. It is listed not in the first list of thirteen states with primaries, but it is listed in the fourteen states by winner. Which list is accurate?
