Dear Friends
You created an article under the name Dear Friends.
If you had checked the "what links here" button you would have seen that there was already an existing link to "Dear Friends" from the article on the satirical comedy group Firesign Theatre. "Dear Friends" is the title of of one of their 1972 albums.
Whomever created the Firesign Theatre article could anticipated that there might be a namespace conflict in future, and made the links the individual albums be like "Dear Friends (firesign theatre)" or "Dear Friends (comedy album)". You could have avoided a namespace conflict by creating your article under the name "Dear Friends (concert tour)".
What is the simplest way to fix the namespace collision problem you created? The Firesign Theatre page could be modified to point to "Dear Friends (Firesign Theatre)" where it points to "Dear Friends". And a paragraph could be added to your article that says something like: "Dear Friends was also the title of a album the comedy group Firesign Theatre produced in 1974."
This kind of paragraph is usually the first or last in an article. I am not going to fix things myself. You created the problem. You should fix it. I'll help you though, if you need help.
FWIW, lots of people aren't careful about the wikipedia namespace. -- Geo Swan 20:19, 2005 Jun 25 (UTC)
- I went ahead an setup the Dear Friends redirect page, and moved the artical to Dear Friends: The music of Final Fantasy. -- darkstar949

Air Force Honor Guard Badge
On December 14th you removed some information I'd inserted into the AFHGB page a while back. Despite the policy on no original research, this information has been personally verified by myself for the purposes of (at the least) McChord and Portland ANG Air Force Bases. While it is an assumption on my part that this policy extends beyone these installations, I have come across no proof to the contrary. Do you have such information or experiences that leads you to know otherwise? — THOR =/\= 20:24, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- The Honor Guard teams at Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB require you take the badge off upon your leaving of the team. Also, based on what I have been able to find through looking at the AFI's, it is set at the local policy letter. As such it's best to avoid saying it is an over arching policy. - Darkstar949 14:12, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
Pirate party
The site must have changed since I accessed it last time, so I guess you're right, just keep an eye on it so you know when (if) it's time to add it back :) -Obli (Talk)? 17:40, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Not a problem - this is one of the problems with keeping an eye on current event pages, things change all of the time. Looks like the PPUS webpage is up now though. However, as they are currently developing the site it might not be such a bad idea to keep links limited to the index page for awhile. --Darkstar949 06:55, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Can you take a look at this article?
This stub (108th Air Refueling Wing) is likely to grow. Could you take a look, that it does not contain major errors. Thank you. Wandalstouring 22:37, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Swiss mercenaries
Thanks for your contribution to the article Swiss mercenaries. I've noted the contradiction, which is indeed verified by contemporary descriptions which have the Swiss firing on the crowd and causing substantial casualties. Apparently they were simply inundated by the masses of revolutionary troops and the mob. (Up to 40,000 national guardsmen had congregated on the palace, according to some sources.) They eventually broke up into small groups to escape but each of these groups was hunted down and they were butchered to a man. Larry Dunn 16:21, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information - always nice to learn something new! -Darkstar949 03:16, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I hope your happy
Wrecking an article like that, How dare you!!! --64.183.61.209 16:41, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, very happy, dancing with glee happy. Now, sarcasm aside, the article needed to be worked on and it is now in good condition such that it might have a chance at being listed as a good article. Wikipedia is not 4chan so articles do have to be encyclopedic. --Darkstar949 16:52, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay. The dispute between you and SU182 over there at OS-tan is getting pretty nasty. You sometimes come close to the line of WP:CIVIL without actually crossing it - just be careful. Your response to the anonymous IP who said "How dare you ruin that article!" was unwelcoming - again, not a violation, but be careful.
Even though you've been here a while, you still don't have a lot of experience. Part of the reason for the aforementioned conflict is that your writing skills are not at a college level. You tried in good faith to improve the article; whether you did or didn't is debatable (I briefly checked both versions, and I have no clear opinion). You need to work together with other editors. You focus on bringing in new material and references, and they can help you with editing and formatting. Maybe you should become (more) active in Wikipedia:Wikiproject Anime and Manga. You might also find it helpful to put the articles linked from your userpage on your watchlist, if you haven't already done that.
I wish you good luck. YechielMan 04:01, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- Honestly, the edits that I am most pleased with it when I find more references to add to an article; however, I have been working on trying to standardize some of the military awards pages so that is nice to have done at the end of the day.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- To be honest I am currently in the middle of a dispute over the OS-tan article for a fairly dramatic re-write that I did, most of the page was re-written. However, I would like to think that it was for the better.
- I reviewed you. If the software is working, it should show up here; otherwise go to the WP:ER page. YechielMan 04:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
HD DVD Night / HD DVD encryption key controversy
Hi, I don't know if you realised, but I just merged the HD DVD Night stuff just before you did. :S -HalHal 14:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually we had an edit collision when I went to save - apparently we both did it at the same time. Anyway, I did move things around a bit so after looking over your edits I went with my revision for that reason. --Darkstar949 14:49, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
