[edit] History

Sanchez has been employed in the comic book industry since 1991. He began his career with Valiant Comics, at their height, as Production Manager. His writing credits include the ARMORINES-Yearbook, MAGNUS 2001, and an unpublished Archer & Armstrong. In December of 2007, he was named Vice President of Manufacturing at Wizard Entertainment[1]. His first independent venture, Celestial Alliance is currently published through the company he and Buddy Scalera started, After Hours Press.[2]

In April of 2008, Tapestry Films purchased the options for Darren Sanchez's newest comic title, the Foxwood Falcons.[3]

Darren Sanchez also served in the United States Army as a pilot and officer, flying an attack helicopter in the 1980's. In an interview with the comic book website Project Fanboy[4], Sanchez attributes his service as an Army officer as the reason he is in the position he holds today (in the comic book industry).

Sanchez is also an avid sports fan and has organized numerous intra-company sports events between publishers such as Valiant Comics, DC Comics, Wizard (magazine), Marvel Comics and Quebecor. He also coaches of his two sons little league teams.
