Dark Dance

Dark Dance (1992) is the first novel in The Blood Opera Sequence by Tanith Lee.

It begins the story of rachaela, a young woman who is half of the Scarabae line and half of another, human line and her introduction to the Scarabaes, including a sexual liasson with her father, Adamus and the birth of her daughter, Ruth.
