[edit] Jazz and Jess (webcomic)
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Jazz and Jess (webcomic), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. - Thanks for your message, I would have got back to you more quickly, but I have been off-wiki. Had I been quicker I would have advised you that you could remove the prod, which would stop the proposed deletion but would not protect the article from being listed at Articles for Deletion (AfD): however, I see that the prod has been removed and the article is listed at AfD. My reason for adding the prod was not to deny the existence of the webcomic, or to make any comment on its quality, or to question the accuracy of the article. 'Notability' in this context is described at WP:N, and means something like 'has been written about'. This is important so that the article is verifiable against third party reliable sources, which is one of Wikipedia's policies and is described in full at WP:V. Information that is taken from either the webcomic's own pages or from personal knowledge may have a further problem with a conflict of interest. As far as I could tell (with google), J&J simply hasn't been written about, and the article has no references that might help. I suggest you read WP:V, WP:N, & WP:AFD, and then comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jazz and Jess (webcomic). Regards, Mr Stephen 10:55, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- AfD discussions usually run for five days, then an admin will make the final decision. The best way to improve the article would be to add "multiple, non-trivial, reliable published works, whose sources are independent of the subject itself" (from WP:N) that verify the article. Wikipedia articles describe already "notable" subjects. This is described further in WP:NOT. Regards, Mr Stephen 00:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
unfortunatley that option has been taken out of my hads as the page has now been deleted after just 3 days. I appreciate your time and effort but understand I still feel dissapointed. Regards.
