You said at the Ilchi Lee article that the Order of Civil Merit of South Korea is customary but this is absolutely not true. I am a Korean and can say that the national Order of Civil Merit is very legitimate. The awardees are very strictly chosen and it is considered a greate honor and fame for them. South Korean Government give the Order to recognize the awardee's high achievement. It is smilar to the Congressional Gold Medal in the US.
