Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). - I do not feel that the article meets our criteria for notability. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) for guidelines as to which people are considered to be notable enough to have their own entry in wikipedia. - Aksi_great (talk) 17:23, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Daniel james wilson
A tag has been placed on Daniel james wilson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Notability criteria for individuals
Hello there, Dan. I noticed you left a message on Aksi_great's user talk page. It is possible that he is not available at the moment, but I would like to take the opportunity to explain to you that there are certain notability criteria that an article should satisfy for inclusion: Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (people). Unfortunately, it does not appear that the subject of the article, which is probably yourself, would be able to qualify to satisfy the inclusion criterion. Perhaps you could help us work on other pages of the encyclopedia. Wikipedia is a fun place to be, and I'll leave you a welcoming message that will provide you with necessary links which you might want to use. [edit] Notability of Daniel James Wilson
A tag has been placed on Daniel James Wilson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 17:42, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Daniel James Wilson, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 17:42, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi Dan, Welcome to Wikipedia. It seems that you have the idea now that you cannot write about yourself as an article, and that your user page is the right spot for this. If you read the notability guidelines you will see what people need to have achieved to get an article here. Even the redirect you have made is not appropriate, I am sorry to say. But go ahead and put any information you want to share with the world on your userpage.Slp1 (talk) 18:01, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
