Sorry, during school days it is exceedingly difficult to work with my Wikipedia page. Please excuse any mistakes I make. During the weekends it is scarcely better, as I am bogged down with a medley of homework, Kung Fu practice (which I will sadly admit I sometimes slack off of), pain-o (piano) practice, and then Chinese homework and the extras that come with it. I am Mandarin Chinese, not Cantonese, Indian, Korean, or Japanese (I believe that Indians should stereotypically fall under the "Asian" catagory; some do not think so).

Introduction

Danny Sepley is the psuedonym of [name omitted], an 8th Grader who lives in San Jose, California, and goes to Bret Harte Middle School, commonly abbreviated as BHMS (at our school, that is). His ambition is to be an author, and is an avid fan of Star Wars. (Star Wars: The Official Site) His hobby is playing piano pieces that drive everyone nuts; particularly songs by Jay Chou. Danny Sepley is generally partial towards green environments and usually practices conservation whenever possible. He prefers LED flashlights with wind-up cranks to normal ones with indisposable, polluting batteries. He is also a large fan of the Bose line of speakers; he uses one set for his computer.

About me

My Views of Wikipedia

I feel that Wikipedia is a truly ambitious project worthy of recognition in the history textbooks; it is an engineering feat of archiving the world's knowledge, and I pledge my (unfortunately limited) support to it. I have no current desire to become a Wikipedia Administrator; I would likely forget I took up the job. However, I make constructive, encylcopedic edits whenever possible. Frequently (I sheepishly admit that is a bit of an exaggeration) I check lists of articles that need cleanup and attempt to help them when I can.

Hobbies of mine

My hobbies include listening to Star Wars music, speedcubing (solving the Rubik's Cube for speed), juggling, and image/video manipulation. My best time for the Rubik's Cube is 31.62 seconds, second only to my friend Jeffrey Zhang, who holds the record for a time of 30.97 seconds. He currently maintains the title of Rubiksmaster at my school. My style of Image manipulation involves Adobe Photoshop; however, I am a complete amateur at it, sticking to cloning, creating lightsabers, compostiting images, and other bizzare things. Of course, along with creating my random e-mails (as I have mentioned above), especially Gmail accounts, comes Googlepages. I have only created two so far. They are my personal page and Keelu Kenobi's page. They are not, unfortunately, as frequently updated as my Wikipedia page, which I consider more sophisticated.

My Work in Image/Video Manipulation

An example (which my friends love best) is my Meditations video. If you don't know how this is done, try reading this article. More to come.

Pet Peeves

One of my pet peeves is squeaking noises that are particularly high in pitch, such as rubbing foam, wet sneaker soles, and other things. I am not the only one who has this pet peeve. As I have mentioned, I am Mandarin Chinese. Mandarin is one of the world's most popular languages, and it is widely spoken in China and Taiwan, the ROC. The "peeve" part comes in when people say the term "Gong Hay Fat Choy" and say it's Mandarin. For the last time, it is not Mandarin Chinese and likely never will be. I am tired of repeating myself to my fellow colleagues that so ignorantly irritate me while saying "Gong Hay Fat Choy--Mandarin for 'Happy New Year'" to their friends. Please refrain from saying it in front of me. Rather, use the proper Mandarin term for it--"Gong Shi Fah Tzai" is the best way I can spell it. Oh, yes; another rather irritating concept is people who think they are very strong, smart, better than others, and criticize people for things that are not done properly that they could not do themselves. In short, liars who assert that they can solve the Rubik's Cube but in reality have no clue as to how it works. Also, I hate it when my friends "relocate" my backpack.

If Bret Harte Middle School could be converted to Bret Harte Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry

School is mostly boring. Face it. Very few enjoy it 24/7, and fewer still are obsessed with it. But, I know a lot of people who are obsessed with the fictional series Harry Potter, as am I. Well, BHMS is normally pretty boring.

I visualize BHMS constantly as a spiced-up place, with random ideas ranging from the thought of Mos Eisley Cantina to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For example, with a simple thought, the soccer field at our school could instantly be turned into a beautiful Quidditch field. A blink of the eye, and the gym storage room becomes a broom cupboard. With a snap of the fingers, there's Bludgers on the loose, trying to decapitate you. But of course, the teachers would all have to change their subjects. Some may reflect their current subjects; such as changing Algebra to Arithmancy, science may range from Transfiguration (life science, perhaps?) to Potions (chemistry).

Quite suddenly, I just realized just how pointless this section is; I'll leave this here.
