Dan9186 was born Daniel Robert Hess on Labor Day September 1, 1986 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee at roughly 6:00 AM. He was baptised shortly there after at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN.
Dan9186 is the only child of Frank of Memphis, Tennessee and Jerri of Memphis, Tennessee. At the time of his birth Jerri was a homemaker and babysat numerous children, and Frank was in the Telecommunications field with BellSouth.

Dan9186 graduated from Christian Brothers High School in the Spring of 2005. While attending high school here he participated in the honors programs for Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Spanish. During his time there he studied four years of Spanish and eventually made a trip to El Salto, Mexico.

Dan9186 is currently a college student attending Christian Brothers University on an almost full scholarship. It is there he is currently studying to obtain his degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. He is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2009. A master's in Complete Dorkery (C.D.) is his next goal.

Dan9186 has currently only worked for two different employeers. In his senior year of high school, spring of '05, he was higher by the Grove Park Walgreens convenience store. He worked there for roughly 7 months as a Photo Technician, developing and printing as many as 100 rolls of film a day. After his short term there, he was contacted by an employee of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's ITS department. They offered him a part time job as a student worker in the field he was studying. Dan9186 has now been employeed by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for nearly two years, and he is likely to be highered on as a full time employee within the next fiscal year.

Currently Dan9186 has an excessive interest in martial arts. He is practicing Pasa-Ryu under Patrick Register at the downtown YMCA in Memphis, Tennessee. In this class he currently holds a brown belt (3rd Kyu) and is working towards his red belt (2nd Kyu). Along with this he is also studying Kyokushin under Masaro Miyaji at Christ United Methodist Church on Poplar Ave.
Pasa-Ryu was founded in Memphis by Khan Rhee. While it has developed to be more like Taekwondo, Pat Register has studied Kendo, Ashihara, Judo, and Pasa-Ryu when it was still full contact. As a result of this Pat Register has geared his personal class more towards a Japanese style of karate. The class includes small bits of Judo throws as well as being full contact.
Kyokushin on the other hand is and always has been a very rough style of karate. In following of the traditional Kyokushin, Masaro Miyaji teaches the class with a consistent structure. As part of this structure there is always conditioning of the body, pad work, attack and defense, and sparring, in which young Dan gets his rear end handed to him on a regular basis.

Dan9186 is also dabbling in Judo under Steve Cardin (2nd Kyu). Since the class is not an official class with any black belts it is primarily a group of people interested in learning some Judo who come to learn what they can. The class is held at a small Aikido dojo called Memphis Aikikai. There are no ranks given out as part of this class so everyone that does not study else where remains a white belt in the style.

Dan9186 is now currently living in the Midtown area of Memphis, Tennessee and works as a student at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Memphis, Tennessee). Right now he is Dating Mary, a wonderful Nurse, whom he loves spending much of his free time with, when not touching fairies, chasing butterflies, or kissing kittens. He is also known to hand out "free puppies" from a non-desrcipt van.
