[edit] This is my first article and could use some help with content.
There is a lot of and about this photographer's work out there however I am an old guy (74), and can type and look only at short intervals.
Some of his biographical information I have left out because I only have a little knowledge about his war coverage(aside from meeting him once in Rwanda when I was still a working journalist) The issue was buried in litigation (and may prove to make Mr. Colegrove very famous in the future) because some very damaging information about other photojournalist came out in an article. Due to the fact he had sold his copyright it was ruled that not crediting him, and indeed crediting other photographers was perfectly fine and a gag order was placed on one journalist quoted in the article.
I do not know if it would be appropriate to bring these facts up here. Moyopic (talk) 01:41, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I am not sure but
I think he was born in Whittier, California (a suburb of L.A.) he also lived in Ojai, California where he went to high school.
Good start to the Biography. He was also well known as a music photographer in Hollywood (early 80's). I did make one correction on the year he began covering wars.Myraedison (talk) 03:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
As to his place of his birth I found both references to Los Angeles and Whittier. I flew with Los Angeles because it was the birth place stated in the court documents from the copyright infringement issues as well as the contract issues. I would assume them to be more reliable than the other sources. Moyopic (talk) 06:16, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Birth Place
He was born in Whittier, California at the Whittier Presbyterian Hospital. I just confirmed this and changed the page to reflect this fact Myraedison (talk) 10:12, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
