Danny Wallace and the Centre of the Universe is a true life short story by British author and TV personality Danny Wallace. It is one of the Quick Reads series of books published for World Book Day in partnership with the BBC to encourage more people to read. Billed as "A cosmic journey through time, space… and Idaho", it centres around a manhole cover in a remote part of Idaho, which has been declared by the town's mayor to be the Centre of the Universe. The name of the town - Wallace - convinces Danny he must go.
