Danira Gović is a Croatian actress born in Šibenik.

[edit] Biography

Her father Miljenko is a retired carpenter, and her mother Radojka, an accountant in Šibenik harbour captaincy, she also has a brother called Damir. After having finished her education in a secondary economic school, Danira arrived at London, about 10 years ago where she planned to stay for six months working as a babysitter.

But, her temporary job turned into a permanent residence in Britain. After babysitting, she worked for a while in a store, selling bras, and then she got a waitressing job in London National Theatre, where she observed various actors and plays, which was fateful for her acting career. She went to an audition and got accepted, gaining a scholarship to cover her costs of education.

After many tries, she was in the right place at the right time: she got a role in BBC's series “Hotel Babylon”, interpreting a Croatian chambermaid. The character was writen only for one episode, but the producers loved it so much that they decided to make it permanent.

She has also played a noticed role on RTL Television in Croatia as Angelina, a secretive hairdresser.

She's currently in a happy relationship in a rented appartment in Kensington neighbourhood, and in Portobello Road she likes to get together with her actor friends, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Dexter Fletcher

She handles nostalgia over Croatia only because she has two friends from elementary and secondary school living in London.
