Daniel Wilcox (born March 23, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American football player who plays for the Baltimore Ravens and plays tight end. He is averaging 14 receiving yards per game. He attended Appalachian State University.

Wilcox attended Decatur High School.

Wilcox played college football at Appalachian State University. He finished his career having made 46 receptions for 740 yards and seven touchdowns. He majored in communications and advertisement.

[edit] New York Jets

Wilcox signed for the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent on April 26 2001. In his rookie season he only saw action in one game.

[edit] Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On December 17 2002, Wilcox was signed to the active roster of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2003 he played in two games, recording one special teams tackle.

[edit] Baltimore Ravens

Wilcox signed with the Baltimore Ravens on June 21 2004. In his debut season with the Ravens he played in all 16 games making five starts. He finished the season with 25 receptions for 219 yards. He caught his first NFL touchdown at the Philadelphia Eagles on October 31. In the 2005 season he played in 13 games making three starts before an ankle injury placed him on the injured reserve list. He made 20 receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown. In 2006, he played in 14 games with six starts making 20 catches for 166 yards. He finished the season with three touchdowns, a career high. On March 1 2006, Wilcox signed a three year contract extension.
